ETO Motors and Delhi Metro to Provide E-rickshaw Services

ETO motors, one of the top guns in first and last mile ecofriendly mobility solutions has recently
announced that they have made a partnership with Delhi Metro in providing e-rickshaw services
in Delhi Metro stations from 20 March 2020. Goenka Electric Motor Vehicles Private Limited
would also be joining hands in order to provide e-rickshaw services in four of the shortlisted
stations as a pilot test run by the mentioned date. This consortium is a result of the successful
demonstration of capability and operational efficiency by the companies early this year.

Stations namely, Yamuna Bank, Sukhdev Vihar, Jamia Milia Islamia, and Jasola Vihar Shaheen
Bagh metro stations would be first in the list which would avail this service in which designated
places would be constructed for 3-rickshaw parking, charging, pick-up, drop-off and related
activities.
ETO motor is a pioneer in mobility services and the company also has shown its expertise in
deploying and managing multi-brand shared transportation fleets. The aim of the organization
revolves around creating a cleaner, greener public transport facility by focusing more on the first
and last-mile solutions.

According to the CEO of the company, Mr. Biju Mathews, the company is happy being accepted
in the sustainable environment solutions in association with the Delhi Metro Rail and would be
willing to partner in India’s dream of cutting down the carbon footprint. With the adoption of e-
rickshaws on metros at these initial phases, the company would be able to cater to around 25000
passengers on a daily basis.
ETO motors would also be running according to certain guidelines put forward by the DMRC
which includes providing details of provided e-rickshaws in their designated station well in
advance, use of prescribed uniforms by the auto drivers, use of valid identity cards and name
badges, use of valid driver’s license for drivers etc. As far the coordination activities are
concerned, a supervisor would be appointers to monitor and regulate the day to day operations of
e-services.

On top of the existing commitment of providing E-rickshaw's to Delhi and Noida Metro Rail,
ETO motors also have plans to launch their autonomous felt of e-rickshaws and e-autos on the

top 10 Indian cities by the upcoming financial year. The company is aiming to hit the mark of
5000 electric mobility services in the commercial segment for passengers and would be catering
to a cargo vehicle segment with a total fleet size of around 2000 E-auto’s
